The Second Seal—War
Revelation 6: 3-4 “When He broke the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, “Come.”
4 And another, a red horse, went out; and to him who sat on it, it was granted to take peace from the
88
earth, and that men would slay one another; and a great sword was given to him.”
Could this be a reference to the statement in prophecy “Then the king of the South will grow strong” since we know
that the South will war with the North in Daniel 11? The North retaliates and attacks the southern alliance. The
king of the South must represent an alliance of Islamic nations. These horsemen are symbolic in the sense that
they have the meaning of peace, war, famine and death. This constitutes or represents the result of the warring
kings and the time of darkness on the earth which materializes into famine. With limited sunlight, it is impossible
to grow vegetation on the earth. Without food to feed animals, it will be expensive to purchase meat or grain in
the End Times. A “denarius” is considered a full day’s wages in Daniel’s time. All the ancient Prophets knew this
was a time of darkness. The war, famine and pestilence will finally result in death for a fourth of the population.
The Third Seal—Famine
Revelation 6: 5-6 “When He broke the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying, “Come.” I
looked, and behold, a black horse; and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand.
6 And I heard something like a voice in the center of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat
for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not damage the oil and the wine.” 88
The Fourth Seal—Death
Revelation 6: 7:8 “When the Lamb broke the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature
saying, “Come.”
8 I looked, and behold, an ashen horse; and he who sat on it had the name Death; and Hades was
following with him. Authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with
famine and with pestilence and by the wild beasts of the earth.”

Is there one world currency? Does the black horse represent the United European nations, with the Euro
currency? In Zechariah 6:6 it states the white horses follow the black horses “going forth to the north country.” We
will see the red horse represents war from a “descendant” of the daughter of the South who “takes peace.” Prior to
these events are “rumors of wars.” Is this a war with Islamic terrorist nations? Are these battles with Christianity
and Judaism? In particular, most Christian’s believe in the Deity of Christ which is totally against Islamic belief in
one God, Allah. An Islamic believer must first affirm that “There is no god but God, and Muhammad is the Messenger of
89
God.” Islam doesn’t believe in the Trinity of God: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. It is considered blasphemy.

How does one of the kingdoms bring about peace in the time of “rumors of wars”? Are there signs in the heavens?
