The image shows the central part of the cluster, where the brightest stars can be found. Several stars of Pleiades
appear surrounded by intricate blue filaments of light. This nebulosity is the result of starlight scattering or
reflecting off minute grains of interstellar dust in space. The dust particles are inside a cloud of mostly hydrogen
gas so the cluster seems to be decorating the heavens. This could be why God has used it as a heavenly crown
symbol or sign of authority. It may also be the reason why it is mentioned in Job as the Pleiades for significance
as a star cluster. It has also been described as a swarm of fireflies in a silver braid by Lord Tennyson.
“Many a night I saw the Pleiades, rising thro’ the mellow shade, Glitter like a swarm of fireflies tangled
in a silver braid.” - Alfred, Lord Tennyson, (1837)

Alpha Tauri: ALDEBARAN (red letters in image “Sign of Israel”) is by far the brightest, which is termed the red
giant and therefore the Alpha, star of the Constellation Taurus. The great “red giant”, war-like Aldebaran is one of
the four “Guardians of Heaven” - sentinels watching over other stars. It formed one of the four royal stars of Persia
as “Watcher of the East.” These were also called archangel stars; the star Aldebaran was the angel Michael - Military
Commander of the Heavenly Host. Michael, the archangel, was the Guardian Angel of Israel; yet another sign of
Israel. This could be the reason why stars are used as symbolic representations of angels in Revelation. It is also
interesting to find that Archangel Gabriel declared to Daniel the date of this heavenly event. Hanging from
Orion's belt is his sword. What does scripture say about the significance of His sword? The Prophet Ezekiel
says “Behold I am against you and I will draw My sword.” For, God will cut you off, if He is against you.
Ezekiel 21:2-3 “Son of man, set your face toward Jerusalem, and speak against the sanctuaries and
prophesy against the land of Israel; and say to the land of Israel, ‘Thus says the LORD, “Behold, I am
against you; and I will draw My sword out of its sheath and cut off from you the righteous and the
                       36
              wicked.”
              Glory of God

The Prophet Ezekiel described the departure of the Glory of God from the Holy Temple of Israel. The first
Temple had been built more than nine hundred years prior to the birth of Christ. It was built by Solomon, the
son of King David. This was due to the fact that King David had “Blood on His Hands.” David had defeated the
enemies around the borders of Israel during and prior to his reign.
The children of Israel would be permitted to see the glory, holiness, true goodness, grace, mercy and faithfulness
of God. His divine presence among His chosen people was incomparable, which no other nation of the earth has
known. The Glory of God departed first over the Ark of the Covenant, which was between the Cherubim in the
Holy of Holies as stated in Ezekiel.

Ezekiel 10:4 “Then the glory of the LORD went up from the cherub to the threshold of the temple, and
the temple was filled with the cloud and the court was filled with the brightness of the glory of the
                     37
              LORD.”
God’s Glory is seen to move from the eastern gate of Jerusalem across from the Kidron Valley and finally to the
Mount of Olives on the east side of the city. It is interesting to find that Christ will set foot on the Mount of
Olives with His Second Coming and the mountains will be moved. This is the same place that God’s Glory
              departed Israel.

Ezekiel 11:21-23 “But as for those whose hearts go after their detestable things and abominations, I will
bring their conduct down on their heads,” declares the Lord GOD.”
