CHAPTER 2: BETHLEHEM STAR

We will next look at the timing of Christ’s return to this earth. Is there a heavenly cycle of Christ’s first coming
as a child, who was born of a virgin? We know the heavenly event for Christ’s birth was the Bethlehem Star seen
in the East. Does this occur on a given heavenly cycle? This would be to announce Christ returning for His
reign or His coming in the clouds for the Rapture of His Bride?

Star of Bethlehem: 2400 Year Cycle

The Star of Bethlehem occurred on “April 17, 6 B.C., when the sun, Jupiter, the moon and Saturn aligned in the
constellation Aries, while Venus and Mars, were in neighboring constellations. Grant Mathews believes the April 17, 6 B.C.,
alignment is the most likely candidate. It makes sense because he believes the Wise Men were Zoroastrian astrologers who would have
recognized the planetary alignment in Aries as a sign a powerful leader was born. The supposed three Wise Men (Magi) may have
beheld in the eastern skies the auspicious conjunction of Mars, Saturn and Jupiter shining down on the Earth like a single star.
Also, see the view by one source, that on May 20th of 6 B.C., a Jupiter-Saturn conjunction which occurred in the constellation Pisces,
is on a 2400 year cycle, which will occur again, in the constellation Aquarius.”

The 20-year conjunction points are roughly one-third of the Zodiacal Circle around from each other. If the points are connected, they
form a near equilateral triangle within the circle. Each successive 60-year Great Conjunction occurs an average of about nine degrees
farther down the track, in the forward direction through the Zodiac, from the previous one. Therefore, the entire triangle can be
thought of as rotating in the forward direction through the Zodiac in increments of nine degrees every 60 years.

This grand pattern is referred to as the "Rotation of the Trigon of Great Conjunctions." Any one of the corners of the triangle or
trigon will move through 30 degrees in about 200 years and completely around the Zodiac in 2400 years. These intervals were
easily discoverable by the ancients with simple observational persistence and record keeping; no sophisticated instruments were required.

If this occurs every 2400 years, and the last time it occurred was in 6 BC, then this gives us the year of 2394, for
the End Times heavenly events to occur. Is the return of Christ and His Glory being reflected in the heavenly
bodies prior to His Coming to this Earth? Does His Glory shine brighter than the sun? Revelation 21:23 makes
the statement “… its lamp is the Lamb” for the light of the New Jerusalem. Wasn’t this also told to us by Christ
that it will shine from one part of the sky to the other part of the sky?

Luke 17:24 “For just like the lightning, when it flashes out of one part of the sky, shines to the other part

of the sky, so will the Son of Man be in His day.”
If celestial bodies marked the birth of Christ, then how do we know the 6 BC date is correct? Based on
scripture, we know that Herod the Great was king at the time of Christ’s birth.

Matthew 2:1 “Now, after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, magi
from the east arrived in Jerusalem, saying,”

Since the King of the Jews was born, Herod feared for his throne, and he mandated the killing of all first born
sons in the land. Remember it was the Magi who saw the Bethlehem Star who told Herod about the King being
born. The scripture tells us that Joseph left for Egypt to save Christ from being killed as a child. This was
communicated to Joseph in a dream that Herod was “going to search for the Child to destroy Him.”
