still alive in Christ is stated in Mark. Pre-tribulation scholars believe this does not described the Rapture; but it is
when Christ returns to reign. We have seen in the context of scripture this is a wrong interpretation.

Mark 13:27 “And then He will send forth the angels, and will gather together His elect from the four
                                                                                   185
winds, from the farthest end of the earth to the farthest end of heaven.”

Could it be that heaven is silent due to the fact that all the heavenly spirits are down on earth receiving their
resurrected “imperishable body” and immortality at that time? Again this silence is mentioned by the Prophet
Zephaniah in the Old Testament, where the Day of the Lord is near. We know the Day of the Lord must begin
no later than when the Wrath of the Lamb is noticed on the earth. This begins with the opening of the sixth seal.

Zephaniah 1:7 “Be silent before the Lord GOD! For the day of the LORD is near,
                                                                                    186
For the LORD has prepared a sacrifice, He has consecrated His guests.”

Revelation 8:1 “When the Lamb broke the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an
              hour.”

The word “wrath” occurs eight times in the book of Revelation. All eight occurrences are followed after the
opening of the sixth seal. The word wrath is never used in connection with the first five seals. Isn’t it intriguing
that angels initiate all the Trumpet Judgments and the Bowl Judgments of God. The angels have no part in the
seals because the seals do not encompass God’s Wrath. This is an important issue to understand relative to the
timing of the Rapture during the Tribulation. The Wrath of God occurred for the first time in Noah’s day with
the Great Flood upon the earth. God makes a covenant to never again destroy the earth with water.

                                                                                          The Ark: “Behold, I,
                                                                                          even I am bringing the
