Proverbs 28:9-10 “He who turns away his ear from listening to the law, Even his prayer is an
abomination. He who leads the upright astray in an evil way. Will himself fall into his own pit, But the
39
blameless will inherit good.”
Is this a forewarning that we should not follow the evil ways of the nation? What does the Bible say about
teaching our children? It makes the statement that “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart.” It also says
that we should teach our children to “Fear the Lord” and the Lord hates evildoers. His eyes are on the righteous
and He hears their cry. It is time this prideful nation departs from its evil ways and humbles itself. We should
pray for our nation and learn God’s ways by reading our Bibles.
Deuteronomy 6:5-7 “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with
all your might. “These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. “You shall
teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk
40
by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.”

Psalm 34:11 “Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD.”
Psalm 34:15-16 “The eyes of the LORD are toward the righteous, And His ears are open to their cry. The
42
face of the LORD is against evildoers, To cut off the memory of them from the earth.”
