12 “The land will mourn, every family by itself; the family of the house of David by itself and their
wives by themselves; the family of the house of Nathan by itself and their wives by themselves;
13 the family of the house of Levi by itself and their wives by themselves; the family of the Shimeites
by itself and their wives by themselves;

14 all the families that remain, every family by itself and their wives by themselves.”
It states that God will pour out on the inhabitants of Jerusalem His “Spirit of Grace,” for “whom they have pierced,”
who is Christ the Lord. All of the Jews from the various tribes in Jerusalem will mourn what they have done. A
similar prophetic scripture occurs from the Prophet Jeremiah. It makes the statement “My people”, the lost sheep.
Jeremiah 50:4-6 “In those days and at that time,” declares the LORD, “the sons of Israel will come, both
they and the sons of Judah as well; they will go along weeping as they go, and it will be the LORD their
God they will seek. “They will ask for the way to Zion, turning their faces in its direction; they will come
that they may join themselves to the LORD in an everlasting covenant that will not be forgotten. “My
people have become lost sheep; Their shepherds have led them astray. They have made them turn aside
on the mountains; They have gone along from mountain to hill And have forgotten their resting
place.”.

Fulfilled only in part when some few of the ten tribes of “Israel” joined Judah in a “covenant” with God, at the restoration of Judah
to its land (Ne 9:38; 10:29). The full event is yet to come. weeping—with joy at their restoration beyond all hope; and with

sorrow at the remembrance of their sins. The commentary by Jamieson recognizes this has not been fulfilled.
