Paul appealed to them to “calm down” on the basis of the truth he had taught them in his first letter: the Lord would return and
catch up His own to meet Him in the air (1 Thes. 4:13–18). This is “the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and … our gathering
together unto Him” (2 Thes. 2:1). Once the church is out of the world, Satan and his forces will unfold their program. The Day of
the Lord is the period that follows the Rapture of the church. It will be a time of Tribulation for the people on earth:
Satan and his hosts will be working on earth, and God will send righteous judgments from heaven. Revelation 6–19 describes this
                        202
              period for us.
We started with the timeline assumption that when we saw the “Abomination of Desolation” in the Holy Temple we
would use this to mark the second half of the seven year period of time mentioned in Daniel. An error in logic is
assuming the Day of the Lord and the Great Tribulation commences with the desecration of the Holy Temple.

Matthew 24:15 “Therefore when you see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION which was spoken of through
                                                                                       203
Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand),”
Daniel wrote in the Temple of Jerusalem that “regular sacrifices” would be abolished for a period of time, 1290
days. Therefore, we will mark the second half with a “+30 Days” during the Great Tribulation period. We also
know from Daniel the “Abomination of Desolation” will occur in the middle of the week, which is seven years. The
Day of the Lord occurs on the very day of the Rapture that Paul teaches in 1 Thessalonians 5:2. It says the
“…..day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night.” Luke will clearly show this to be the case.

Daniel 12:11 “From the time that the regular sacrifice is abolished and the abomination of desolation is
                                             204
set up, there will be 1,290 days.”

Nevertheless, we have not come to the timeframe of three and one-half years into the Tribulation, which began
on December 2390. But, we have arrived to the timeframe of judgment, the seventh seal and a heavenly sign of
the Antichrist and False Prophet one month after the Rapture. Most Bible scholars assuming that the desecration
of the Holy Temple would occur prior to Judgment Day. We will show you that it is not Biblically correct in the
representation of the timeline as shown. We have made a correction to the timeline that can be seen in the figure
below and show that the Great Tribulation and the “Day of Lord” begin after the Rapture.

If you remember we agreed when we saw this event of “Abomination of Desolation” in the Holy Temple we would
use this to mark the second half of the seven year period of time mentioned in Daniel. This desolation occurs
after the beginning of the Great Tribulation period. Luke compares the Day of the Rapture, which is called the
“Day the Son of Man is revealed” to that of the Destruction of Sodom. Lot was saved from Sodom the same day like
believers will be saved from God’s Wrath. Therefore, the same day that the Rapture occurs must be the Day of
the Lord and the beginning of the Great Tribulation.
