What does one of the commentaries say about the Rapture and Christ coming in the air? During the Rapture,
Christ meets His believers in the air with their glorified bodies of immortality. Again, I would like to pray that
this book will impact the non-believers into a world of “Light and Truth” such that they will come to know Christ
as their Savior and Lord and receive everlasting life. Next, how is the word “Rapture” defined?

Sun— “Black as Sackcloth”

This image relates to the opening of the sixth seal because of the statement in Revelation “the sun became black as
sackcloth.” This heavenly sign is given by God, since the Pleiades crown of stars (red) is overhead. The sixth seal is
a time of cosmic disturbances in the heavens and earthquakes on the earth. This event occurs prior to the
Rapture. But, the sign of the Son of Man, which is both Jupiter and Orion, is seen just above the treetops. It
appears for days prior to the Rapture of the believer. Therefore, the statement to be “alert” is made in scripture.
Man will finally fear God and hide from Him. All of mankind now knows that God’s Wrath is about to come
upon the earth including those who are not saved in Christ. Is this due to the sign in the skies?

Let us look at what J.F. Walvoord in The Bible Knowledge Commentary has to say about Christ’s coming in the
air. It makes the statement that none of the scripture passages describe Him as touching the earth.

Revelation 19:11-21 As John saw heaven open he saw prophetically Christ’s second coming and the events which will follow it. The
second coming of Christ is a prominent doctrine in Scripture Rev. 1:7-8; 2:25-28; 16:15; 22:20). So this is obviously a major event
in the divine program. It should be noted that none of the many details given in Revelation 19:11-21 corresponds to the Rapture of
