Scutum shown as a cross shield symbolizes the Antichrist, and it is near the tail of the Constellation of Serpens, that symbolizes Satan.

The serpent itself is represented and is given two identities. Stars to the west are those of the head, Serpens Caput, while the tail section, Serpens Cauda, writhes eastward toward Aquila, above the shield of Scutum. One of the most interesting objects that you can't see in Ophiuchus is the Pipe nebula.

The Serpent, Satan, has power over death.

Hebrews 2:14-15 (NASB) “….power of death, that is, the devil;“

This must mark the signing of a “firm covenant” by the Antichrist symbolized by the cross shield. The signing of this covenant marks the beginning of the seven year Tribulation period. The covenant will be broken in the middle of the week which is half way through the Tribulation. This is mentioned in Daniel.

Daniel 9:27 (NASB) “And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate.”

Radiant light cone comes down on the earth from the star Zubenelgenubi Alpha Librae is the second brightest star in the Constellation Libra (despite its Bayer designation as alpha). It has the traditional name Zubenelgenubi. The name, from Arabic الزبن الجنوبي (al-zuban al-janūbiyy), means "southern claw" and was coined before Libra was recognized as distinct from Scorpius. Could the "southern claw" represent the “claw of death” for the martyred believers? In Greek Mythology , the scorpion killed the “True Shepherd,” who was Christ. Christ had died on the cross and was resurrected from the grave.

Libra was known in Babylonian astronomy as Zibanu ("the scales"), or alternatively as the Claws of the Scorpion. The scales were held sacred to the sun god Shamash , who was also the patron of truth and justice. Since these times, Libra has been associated with law, fairness and civility. In Arabic zubānā means "scorpion's claws." This resemblance of words may be why the Scorpion's claws became the Scales.

Is there significance with the star Zubenelgenubi and the Constellation of Libra? If this is a heavenly sign of truth and justice, then it must mean that God’s judgment is coming. We can now understand why the martyred saints are asked to “rest for a little while longer” before God’s wrath is poured onto this earth.

Revelation 6:11 (NASB) “And there was given to each of them a white robe; and they were told that they should rest for a little while longer, until the number of their fellow servants and their brethren who were to be killed even as they had been, would be completed also.”
